Tehran Reports Two Hundred US Casualties in Response to Attacks

(MENAFN) Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that retaliatory attacks on US bases across the Middle East resulted in 200 American military casualties.

The escalation followed a preemptive operation carried out by Israel, supported by the US, early on Saturday. The campaign targeted Iranian military installations and nuclear-related sites, with the aim of addressing perceived threats from Tehran in the region.

US President Donald Trump later confirmed that the White House had backed the operation in West Jerusalem, citing the breakdown of nuclear negotiations as a motivating factor for the intervention.

“As a result of missile strikes on American bases, at least 200 US military personnel were killed and injured,” according to a statement by the IRGC reported by news agencies.

Responding to the attacks, IRGC General Ebrahim Jabbari issued a warning to Trump, emphasizing that Iran possesses “advanced capabilities” and is prepared for a sustained conflict.

“At the start of the war we will strike everything we have in our stockpiles,” Jabbari declared, pledging to deploy “the most powerful missiles later.”

He further added, “What we have not shown until now, and what, as we Iranians say, we ‘put to rest in brine,’ we will reveal in the coming days.”

Iran’s counterstrikes reportedly hit multiple US military sites throughout the Middle East. These included the Fifth Fleet support center in Bahrain, a base in Iraqi Kurdistan, Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE, Muwaffaq Al Salti Air Base in Jordan, and Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, according to reports.

Israeli sources also indicated that approximately 35 missiles were fired toward Israel, with one person sustaining injuries.
